OUR NEW FUNDRAISER: To benefit The Battle Buddy Foundation's Puppy Program!! This will be a continuing fundraiser.
No time limits, no ending dates!! Kenny's PTSD therapy dog, Atlas, has made such a change
in his life that The Battle Buddy Foundation has made it one of their missions to help other combat injured veterans receive a Battle Buddy therapy dog. The cost
of a PTSD therapy dog doesn't come cheaply. In many cases, it is difficult for the veteran to get a trained dog to help
him or her through the daily anguish of dealing with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. In order to help The Battle Buddy
Foundation and other vets acquire a PTSD service dog, Niman's Way Candleworks is offering to help with a portion of the proceeds
of this permanent fundraiser directly donated to The Battle Buddy Foundation for this program. Kenny
Bass has experienced the trauma of war, combat, PTSD and other combat related injuries. Kenny
will tell anyone about the changes in his life since Atlas became his battle buddy. The two of them maneuver
through the stress, anxiety and challenges of the transition from combat life to civilian life. This bonded team of
man and dog, are making it their life's mission to remove the stigma of PTSD, make the public aware of the difficulties of
PTSD, and help the combat injured PTSD soldiers get the public support and funding they need. The suicide rate of combat
soldiers is totally unacceptable and it should be totally unacceptable to every man, woman and young adult in the USA.
Kenny
and Atlas have taught us at Niman's Way Candleworks that something as small as a 'pointy eared' dog, can make the
difference between life and death for our returning soldiers. A PTSD therapy dog can help a soldier find peace in his
or her life, making the transition from battle to home, although not easy, at least bearable.
